Donation Ambassador Primary responsibilities: Assisting ReStore staff in picking up items from donor’s homes. Loading and unloading donations. Also assisting with transporting recyclable materials to collection sites. *Driving ReStore vehicles to homes if qualified.   Dock and Warehouse Volunteer Primary responsibilities: Assisting customers in unloading donations from their vehicle and preparing donations to be sold by cleaning items, making minor repairs, and assembling items. It involves stocking, organizing, and cleaning of items on the sales floor, preparing damaged items to be recycled, and cleaning the dock area and warehouse.   Sales Support Volunteer Primary responsibilities: Greeting and assisting our ReStore guests in navigating the store and finding items. Maintaining a neat appearance and being ready to answer any guests’ questions. Helping guests transport items to their vehicle. Organizing, sorting, and cleaning items on sales floor as well as setting up item displays.   Cashier *Requires a background check Primary responsibilities: Assisting customers in making purchases. Using our point of sale software and cash register system to keep accurate records of sales and inventory. Practicing good customer service.

How can I get more information about volunteering with Habitat?

1. Attend a volunteer orientation! Sessions are offered every second Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. at the Goodwill Connection Center.

2. Browse through the different volunteer areas on this page and click the "Sign up for a shift" icon to view current openings for construction and the ReStore Outlet.

What are the requirements to being a Habitat volunteer?

1. No experience necessary! Wherever you volunteer - whether it''s on the construction site, ReStore Outlet or on a committee - we provide complete training in order to make your time with us a rewarding and educational experience!

2. All volunteers are required to fill out a volunteer application/liability waiver. These forms are available at each volunteer site, or you can click here to print one to bring with you.

3. Depending on what position you are volunteering for, you may have to complete a background check authorization form as well as a confidentiality statement. We will let you know if these additional forms are required prior to your first shift.
